What it is for
Once connected, an assistant can answer questions such as:
- Which employees still need evidence for their AML course?
- Whose certificates expire this quarter?
- Which courses are available to us, and in which languages?
The connection is read only. It cannot enrol anyone, buy anything, or change employees or courses.
Connect
You need the server address, shown on Integrations then MCP: https://training.shogconsulting.com/mcp.
In Claude
- Open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it Shog and paste the server address, then choose Connect.
- Shog opens. Sign in as the account owner, pick the company, and approve the read permissions.
- In a chat, turn Shog on from the tools menu and ask.
In ChatGPT
- Open Settings, then Apps, and turn on developer mode.
- Create an app named Shog with the server address, and choose OAuth as the sign-in.
- Connect: Shog opens. Sign in as the account owner, pick the company, and approve the read permissions.
- In a chat, choose the Shog app and ask.
Worth knowing
Custom connectors depend on your Claude or ChatGPT plan and on your organisation's settings. The AI provider receives the records its answers need, so check its data controls before you connect.
Stay in control
- Each connection reads one company. Connect again for another.
- A company can have up to five connections. Each lasts up to 90 days and ends after 30 days unused.
- Integrations then MCP lists every connection and what it asked for. Disconnect ends one at once.
- Changing your password or two-step sign-in ends every connection; connect again afterwards.
- Shog keeps only which tool was used and when, for 30 days. What you type and the answers are never stored.
