Connect your training records to the systems you already use

Add staff from your HR system, send completions and certificates back automatically, and ask Claude or ChatGPT who still owes their training. Included for companies with a paid course or an active plan.

Three ways to connect

Each one works for one company at a time, and the account owner chooses what it may see.

  1. REST API

    Training records API

Your own keys for your own systems. Add and update employees from your HR system, and read courses, enrolments, progress and certificates into your dashboards, intranet or payroll.

  2. Webhooks

    Updates the moment they happen

A signed message to your server when an employee is added, a course is completed or failed, or a certificate is issued. If your server is down, delivery is retried for up to three days.

  3. MCP connector

Ask Claude or ChatGPT about your training

Add Shog to Claude or ChatGPT as a connector through its MCP server, then ask in plain words who is overdue, which certificates expire this quarter, or what a new joiner still needs. Read only.

What companies connect it for

Most integrations start with one of these.

  • New joiners added from the HR system with their role, so the training plan assigns their courses
  • Completed courses and certificate numbers written back to the employee file
  • A compliance figure in the dashboard your managers already open
  • A manager asking an AI assistant who in the team is due for AML refresher training

You stay in control

Integrations are switched on by the account owner, company by company.

  • Keys carry only the permissions you choose, and each one reaches a single company
  • Keys expire, rotate without downtime and can be revoked at once
  • Every webhook is signed, so your server can prove it came from Shog
  • AI assistants can read, never change: no enrolments, purchases or edits
  • Rate limits per key and per company, and 30 days of request history to review

Questions about integrations

Does Shog have an API?
Yes. Companies that train their staff on Shog can use a REST API to create and update employees and to read courses, enrolments, progress and certificates. The account owner creates the keys in Integrations.
Can I connect ChatGPT or Claude to our training records?
Yes. Shog runs an MCP server that Claude and ChatGPT use as a connector. The account owner signs in, chooses one company and approves read-only permissions; the assistant can then answer questions about that company's training.
Can the AI assistant change anything?
No. Connections are read only. They cannot enrol anyone, buy anything, or change employees or courses, and the owner can disconnect them at any time.
Which systems can connect?
Any system that can call an HTTPS address or receive one: HR and payroll systems, intranets, data warehouses and automation tools.
Is there an extra charge for integrations?
No. The API, webhooks and the AI-assistant connector are included for companies with a paid course purchase or an active plan.
